TRUFFLE HUNTING
An opportunity to experience firsthand the exciting adventure of accompanying an expert “trifolau” and his dog on a truffle hunting hike in the woods. The season in which the collection of the prized “White Truffle of Alba” is allowed is limited to the autumn period only, but in summer you can make the same hike in search of black truffles. During the walk you will also learn useful information about the botanical varieties in the forest that favor the emergence of this special underground mushroom.

Hotel & Wellness*** Stella delle Langhe is an ideal starting point to discover the hundreds of wineries scattered throughout the area, from the big names of international fame with their historic reserves, to the small producers often known only to wine enthusiasts. But they all share a common factor: the pride and passion to get the best from their grapes.
Among the many varieties produced, the best known are surely those of Barolo (“the King of wines and the wine of Kings”) and Barbaresco, offspring of the same vine (Nebbiolo), but with different characteristics due to the different areas of production.
However, in this prodigal land other wines also stand out and achieve excellence. Thus we find Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto and, although by tradition the local production is devoted mainly to red wines, some white wines made from indigenous grapes such as Arneis and Favorita also reach noteworthy levels, without forgetting the famous Moscato and Asti Spumante.
If you wish, our Staff will be at your disposal to suggest and reserve for you a private visit, at one of the best local wineries, during which the producers will accompany you in the tasting of their excellent wines, also illustrating all the stages of production.
THE ROERO AND LANGHE ARE A TRUE PARADISE FOR THE MOST DEMANDING PALATES
In fact, the territory donates first-rate products, which, thanks to the contribution of family traditions handed down from generation to generation, still make it possible to enjoy the authentic flavors of “langaroli” dishes.
Many in fact are the family-run trattorias still present that seem to defy the passage of time. Here the egg pasta for “tajarin” or “del plin” ravioli is still made at home, and the prized beef from the “Provincia Granda” (this is how the province of Cuneo is called in dialect) is the basis for the preparation of ancient recipes such as knifebeaten raw meat, veal tonnato roasts and braised meats. The simplest dishes are often the most delicious and seem to be created specifically to combine in autumn with the most precious ingredient, the White Truffle of Alba, enhancing its aromas and flavors.
It is no coincidence that the town of Bra was the birthplace of the “Slow Food” movement, an association that “works to safeguard local cuisines, traditional productions, plant and animal species at risk of extinction and supports a new model of agriculture, less intensive and cleaner.”
